HAS Aerospace Institute at the Houston Spaceport

  • The Story

The Aerospace Institute at the Houston Spaceport is a collaborative effort between Educational Institutions such as San Jacinto, UHCL & TSU with the Houston Airports & the Space Industry to create a HUB for Aerospace Industry Training & Collaboration. The Aerospace Institute is centrally located amongst Space Industry Headquarters – Collins, Axiom & Intuitive Machines at the Houston Spaceport Campus on Ellington Field Airport in Houston, Texas.

    Design Narrative

The Design of the Aerospace Institute Campus Masterplan at the Houston Spaceport is inspired by the Concepts of “Infinity” & “Light - Electromagnetic Waves”.

F S Group Architect’s Team proposed an underlying Design Concept which will guide the Planning and the Architectural characteristics of the Buildings and the overall Education & Training Campus. A clear conceptual basis at the heart of the Spaceport will serve as a guide that always maintains a coordinated development and expansion into a cohesive Training Campus at the Houston Spaceport.

The Houston Spaceport is now at the center of Space exploration and advancement with major private corporations such as Collins, Axiom & Intuitive Machines headquarters located here. The Aerospace Institute is being planned in the heart of the Houston Spaceport centrally located amongst these innovative corporations, as such the Master Plan derives its inspiration from the essence of Space Exploration which conjures up the idea of “INFINITY” & “LIGHT”.

“Infinite Space. Infinite Opportunities. Infinite Possibilities “

“LIGHT - Electromagnetic Spectrum is the primary mode of Exploration & Communication in Space. Everything we know about Space is through the spectrum of LIGHT “

In Space, there are no molecules close enough together to transmit sound so Light is the only source of communication. And Light – the entire spectrum of Electromagnetic light is the only way to explore the far reaches on the Universe.

Even Blackholes are discovered and identified by the behavior of the electromagnetic waves in Space.

Albert Einstein aptly said “Blackholes are where God decided to divide by 0”; And now NASA has detected Blackhole (Infinity) using Electromagnetic Light Waves.

Therefore, the Design on the Master Plan of the Aerospace Institute Campus at the Houston Spaceport is based on the concept of an Electromagnetic Field radiating across the site as the Aerospace Buildings emerge from it.
